Does this mean that the Summit County Library will send you certified copies of a death record for $2? Does this conflict with the Morley health center which will send you up to a certain time period and only in Akron proper for 10 cents? And the Ohio Historical society which charges $1 a record uncertified.

You can write to the Summit Co Courthouse, 209 S High St, Akron, OH 44308 and ask them for a marriage lookup. As for the obituary, the Akron Summit Co Public Library will have the obituary. It's on Tallmadge Ave, Akron, OH 44310. Unsure of the exact address. ----- Original Message ----- From: <moosie@flash.net> To: <OHSUMMIT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, April 07, 2002 11:30 PM Subject: [OHSUMMIT-L] Dora & Samuel W. Sorry I actually deleted your e-mail but I did find a BLAKESLEE, Jotham. He discovered coal, he was a blacksmith in Tallmadge Township in 1808. This is quite interesting for me too, as when I bought my condo here in Stow I was warned about coal mine operations but he said they were mainly located further south. I even asked many people whether they had coal mines here, everyone said no, they were all farmers. Also, in 1808 they had coal mining in Springfield township, and on Coal Hill between Tallmadge and Cuyahoga Falls. In 1828 in Cuyahoga Falls and NW part of Tallmadge.
Sorry No David Moyer in the book.
Thanks so much for looking for me! And thank you also for the searching you are providing to the list!! be careful if you copy and paste that you do not highlight the dash at the very end. I did that the first time, and got your same answer, went back, and made sure the dash afte html was Not included, and it came up. noreen
Anne, Yes, the URL was correct. I had no problem at all with it. http://userdb.rootsweb.com/regional.html -- It might work if you re-type the URL in your "go or search" space. Hope it works this time. Jacquie AnneyMac@aol.com wrote: >Jacquie, > >I got the URL Not Found message. Could you check on the Henry \ Charles \ Adam Marsh family. He mostly went by Henry or Adam at the time. Adam and his wife Jessie would have lived there sometime between 1900 and 1913. She continued to live there after 1913 with the children, but I have not been able to locate her anywhere. Thanks so much. Hunting for something else and found this page. Didn't know it existed, but perhaps it will help others. http://userdb.rootsweb.com/regional.html - Jacquie (USA, California - "home" is Union Co., Ohio)
There are a ton of BLAKESLEE'S in Medina County History.
I am researching BLAKESLEE; BLAKESLEY or BLAKESLY. If anyone has come across this name, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you, Ethel F. in Mich.
Thanks so much for checking for E.K. and Refina Burnett for me. Is there by any chance a David Moyer/and family listed anywhere?
