Regarding Middlebury Cemetery, could you please tell me if there is an Anna Lenora Button Morey Bailey buried next to her father, Willis Button? Thank you in advance! Shelley Woods

All the cemeteries in Akron/Summit County can be found by going into Yellow Pages on the internet (I go out of Iwon.com). Search for: Cemeteries. You'll get the complete listing with addresses and phone numbers.. Or you could write to the Akron-Summit County Library, 1040 E. Tallmadge Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44310 Website: www.ascpl.lib.oh.us to get a listing. I'm looking at the 1891 Summit Co. atlas. It looks like that corner of 80.50 acres belonged F. Dosenberry. Just north of that is another 80.50 acres owned by the Honey Family. If you will contact my privately, I can give you the name and address of a person who was raised by by the Honey Family, and she will give you more info. The Honey family also owned 10 acres on the south side of E. Twinsburg Rd. Jyheddlesten@aol.com wrote: > > We live on E. Twinsburg Rd. in Northfield Center. We live on E. Twinsburg Rd. in Northfield Center. The house is, we're thinking, a little over 100 years old. It's the first house standing on the N. side of the street from Rt. 8. Besides going to records in Akron, does anyone know the history? We see posts from all over this area.....Does anyone know?

I would like to welcome those of you new to this site and tell you there are some really great folks who are willing to help just for the asking. I, myself do Volunteer research at Andersonville Civil War Prison in Andersonville Georgia. There are Any research I do is absolutely at NO cost and I am willing to do what I can. There are 3857 prisoners on record from the state of Ohio and more than 1100 who died here, I thought I would send my offer. Here are my sources of research. There are 2 online databases to do lookups.....One by name...one by Company and Regiment. I also have a copy of the Dorence Atwater Death list which has the names and grave numbers of 12960 graves with only 460 marked as " UNKNOWN " This along with a CD I have which contains 34,000 names of the 45,000 who were imprisoned there which helps me find prisoner records because of misspellings of the names or alternate names. I visit the prison site every couple of weeks and have access to the onsite databases as well as the physical files. I would like to let you know of another service I offer which is to take photos of graves for a small fee. Please do not concider this spam as my research offer is FREE for the asking ad will be posted on this county site only once. If there is anything I can do in helping your research at Andersonville, please just ask. Any one have one of Grishmers Summit Co books? I'm sure that's were I read it (I think about 40 years ago)! Becky Miller Currently Reston, VA Previously Coventry Twp, Ohio
