You have James' 2nd wife's name wrong. He married Ruth Coburn and they had 3 children, Minerva Ruth "June", Raymond Eugene, and Margery Jane. June died in 1948 but Gene and Margery are still living. James and Ruth divorced and she later married Camillus Dietrick and had Dolores and Gerald, my husband. Ruth just died on June 30 of this year. If you would like to contact me I would be happy to put you in touch with either Gene or Margie if you are interested. The only information I have on James is that he was born April 28, 1899 in Boston, Georgia and died in Jan. 1978 in Stark County, Ohio. I believe Gene took care of the burial etc. James' parents were Augustus Charles or Charles Augustus Milligan and Emma Howell. I do have a little information but not much as it is not my husband's line.

Hello Everyone; We have received a great amount of email requesting information concerning Indentured Servants and Apprentices sent to the early Colonies. It would be impossible to list the over 10,000 here so we are including an overview of the process and hope it will explain the how and why. We have titled the page Indentured Servants and Apprentices Sent to the American Colonies 1654-1686. The piece was written by Peter Wilson Coldham as an introduction to one of his excellent immigration reference works and contains much usefull information that will touch many of our lines somewhere. You will find the page located on the web site at within the Family Pages Index located at http://www.linkline.com/personal/xymox/families/famdex.htm On the Family Index Page enter through the link SERVANTS AND APPRENTICES SENT TO THE AMERICAN COLONIES 1654-1686. She was adopted by the Stengal's as well as her sister Leona. They lived in Twinsburg Ohio, and Dorothy attended Hudson HS. Her adopted mother's name was Helen. Dorothy was married abt 1941-43 (and possibly it was in Summit Co.) but do not know the husband's name. Does anyone remember her or can give me any help in finding this lady. I am helping my friend by doing this. She was an old friend of his. Thank you, Jeanne
Clearing out all e-mails in my file cabinet and I just recently came across the Indexes form the Akron Beacon Journal from 1929 to 1970's or so.........It lists separately and alphabetically the births, marriages and deaths. Though very time consuming its one way to find your descendants. But, they have these bright lights and when I put the film on it was impossible to read. So I shall wait until they have their new library set up and now they have a genealogy librarian but she was on the phone the whole time I was there. So I didn't ask any questions and she is new but I will mention the difficulty reading the microfilm. Bye
The Summit County court house has all the Summit County marriages back to 1850 at least, I can't remember if they go further than that. The early records only list the names of the people married but the ones you are looking for would have a lot of information. Parents and place of birth, occupation and such.

Beachy or Betty K. Beachy, 9127 Lamaze Rd., Baltimore, Md. 21234. copyright 1980 so I'd do an address check on the computor if I were you. I find Peter II who was married to Sarah Blauman. Peter was born in Switzerland in 1753. He came with his parents at 15. The book does give more information on the rest of the family of Peter II But for the most part it fallows the line of his son Peter III
It would really help when requesting information that you list if known the dates when the families lived in the area plus the names in upper case.
The only thing I found is the 1929-1970's or so Akron Beacon Journal Index at the Akron Public Library. The book lists births, deaths and marriages, alphabetically, plus a myriad of other events that happened in those years. If you know the year an event happened you can find the date and then look at the microfilm for the full article. Going through all the books I only found one marriage and a couple of births.
Are there any on-line records for Summit Co, marrages back in the 1930,s Eldon Lucas Sr--Box 206 N. Noreen, I'm very sorry. I checked all the Ancestry data bases that I thought might pertain, but didn't find anything. If you have any specific suggestions regarding Ancestry, I will be happy to go back and check again. Otherwise, you may wish to try the following site: NARA | Research Room | Access to Military Service and Pension Records Great good luck, Jane Miller Tennessee, USA
One of my relatives is listed as a soldier in the 1900 Akron city directory. If anyone has access to Ancestry.com, would you be able to check the military records- His name was BOLAN, THOMAS born 1875. Thanks. Noreen
