J.G. Kramer born 17 Feb 1928, died 15 December 1988 , in Ohio. SSN 277 20 9209 [he was born J.G. Kromer] His father Edgar Kramer (Kromer) died Northfield Center, Ohio , Sept 12 1976, buried Cuyahoga Falls. Can Any one tell me what county J.G. Kramer(Kromer) died in. I believe him to be the father of my son-in-law, who is also J.G. Kramer. Does he appear on the state death index? Thanks for your help. peter Gold

Any ideas on how I would locate a 1930 map of Akron? I know the address of my g grandparents but I also know that the area they were in has changed a great deal over the last 70 years. The address I'm trying to locate on a map is 657 Miami St. The ED's I thought it might be in, using a current map, was actually the 800 and 900's of Miami St. I'm open to suggestions. Christine

Again Akron Public Library has 1929-1930-1931 and later years. It lists the deaths, marriages and births and is a valuable tool for out of state researchers when they know little about their Akron family. Plus it has some but not all years of City Directories and will list the name of the family and sometimes the wife and later when the children are older (don't know what age) they are listed and if they work where they work or if they are a student. Akron beacon Journal Index 1929-1930-1931 lists marriages, births and deaths and are available at the Akron Public Library. So please include the name of your parents. Bye

I just recently sent in for uncertified death records to the Akron Health Department. I had been down there and got their application form and asked all sorts of question. Uncertified are .10 cents and certified are $10 each. I got my whole list back with the certificate number of the ones I found and my check. It stated that the check should be made out to the City of Akron and the exact amount. Well, that is difficult because several of the names I only knew the dates and that it was in Akron but they only supposedly have Akron deaths, births, and marriages but Akron covers a lot of territory. None of these people lived outside of Akron and supposedly died in Akron. Good luck anyway,

Hello, fellow listers! Does anyone know if the addresses of a bride and groom were listed when they applied for a marriage license in 1931??? I'm trying to find out where in Akron my father lived when he married my mother. Does anyone know if you can call the Summit Courthouse or wherever the marriage licenses were applied for back in 1931 for this information and will they look it up for you?? Any help and/or advice will be greatly appreciated!! I think if I can locate where my Dad was living in April 1931, it will help me find him on the 1930 census!! Thanks in advance! I live in Oregon but perhaps a Summit county library has a 1932 city or county directory that can be checked. Usually the year of a city/county directory is the year after the year you are looking to find where someone lived.
