Ohio marriages 1803-1900 there were 40 listed, in various counties, but none for Summit County. 1860 US Census had 125 matches all for Alabama, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Deleware, and Florida; no Ohio. 1790-1890 Ohio Census 197 matches; with 15 of them in Summit County. Family Trees: way too many; but this one was specifically OHIO... Eleanor Melvina Hammond born 10-29-1852 in Akron-Summit County, Ohio; died (probably) Cleveland-Cuyahoga County, Ohio; father: Rolland O; mother: Melvina A. Harris; Spouse: Francis A. Hilliard. Social Security Death Index turned up 2 matches: 1. Helen B. Hammond b 11-8-1870 last known residence Monroe-Butler County, Ohio and died 9-1972. 2. My g grandfather was John Jacob Olhoeft, brother to Joseph Olhoeft. I saw their grave stones and my gg grandparents stone also. I have taken a picture of them and of the stone of Joseph C., 1873 - 1947, Father and Elizabeth M. Olhoeft, 1876 - 1940, Mother. A daughter Ida Olhoeft Duckett, 1908 - 1937, has a stone behind her parents. They are at Mt. Peace, located on Aqueduct Street in West Akron Near West Market Street and Merriman Street., Contact: First Grace United CC; 183 Aqueduct, Akron, Ohio - 330-253-4551. It is a church cemetery. Joseph and John's parents are also there. John Olhoeft, born May 11, 1837, died April 25, 1901, At Rest. Catharine Olhoeft, born June 6, 1836, died Dec. 3, 1920, At Rest. Hi again, Another question I hope somebody can help me, this time with the city directories. I am trying to locate my grandfather Wilbur Clyde Haupt in the directories. He and my grandmother, Helen, were married in 1935. The next time somebody goes to the library would you look him up? He may be listed as Wilbur Clyde Haupt or Clyde Wilbur Haupt. He worked for B.F. I looked online and found St. John the Baptist Parish on Brown St.in Akron. Has St. John's always been on Brown St? I'm plan on contacting the church regarding my grandmother's baptism.
