Does anyone know a way to get a birth record for February 1857? Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm seeking information on Martha Prescott EVERIT.

(both Ohio). Families were related to Case of Hudson, poss. Darrow of Hudson--sometimes known as Portage, and Walker of Stow. I don't have listing of names in O'Brien--do know Henry O'Brien abt. 1781 born Ireland, married Sarah Walker born 1780. (check Stow Historical Society Web Page--see William Walker.)

    2. Yes, all the marriage information is indexed by name male & female from the 1840 to now, very easy to find one at the courthouse.

    1. [OHSUMMIT-L] GARSKE Family Photographs
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" three old photographs belonging to the GARSKE Family. The fist is a photograph of Anna, Albert, and Bertha GARSKE taken at the G. J. Snook Studio in Akron, Ohio. I would guess that it was taken in the 1880's and that the younger two were in their teens with Bertha maybe in her early 20's at the time. I believe they are all siblings. The second photograph is of Bertha GARSKE, taken at the G.J. Snook Studio in Akron, Ohio. A note on the photograph says "My Aunt", this photograph was probably also taken in the 1880's, though earlier than the first photograph with Bertha appearing to be in her early teens. The third photograph is of Ann GARSKE, taken at the W.E. Foltz Studio in Akron, Ohio and notes "My Mother". This photograph was taken later, probably in the 1890's or early 1900's with Anna appearing to be in her 20's or 30's at the time. I'm hoping to find someone from this family so that these wonderful old photographs can be returned to their rightful place with family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    3. Hi Carole, Thank you so very much for looking up in the 1880 census. Boy, that is a tough one. Some of what you found sounds like a possibility and some of it does not. My Josiah was definitely b. in VT, but your date of birth sounds logical. I may check that one out though. You were very kind to help! You can probably find her using the indices. I did a quick search on Ancestry and didn't find anything. 3. Priscilla, I checked the 1880 census index just for Ohio and there is a Josias Wright b. 1827 in Ct., wife Jane, Phebe 18 who is a music teacher and William age 11 in school. They were in ED68, Port Clinton, Ottawa Co., Ohio. Does this sound like the right one?
