Surnames: Romick Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DYB.2ACE/2345 Message Board Post: My grandfather, Floyd Romick, and his brothers played for baseball teams in the Akron area during the early 1900s. (My grandfather also worked in a rubber plant and I have been told the team may be connected to the plant.) My grandfather had a uniform with the lettering, "All Akron". There is also a family story about one of his brothers, Carl Romick, pitching against the Homestead Grays. I would like to learn more about this part of my grandfather's life. Have there been any books written or research done on the baseball teams in Akron during the early part of the 20th century? Are there records in any archives in the area? I would appreciate any suggestions.
