In 1920 there was a James A. Mallen on Kling St. in the 5th Ward of Akron. He is 22 yrs old and has 3 other people living with him. Ruth is not one of them. For the 1930 census, HQ does not have an index yet for Ohio so it would take a lot of effort to go thru almost a thousand images to look for him. You may want to check with your local library and see if they have the Ancestry database available inside the library. Ancestry has 1930 already indexed and it would be much easier to find him that way. If you find him and would like an image, I can send that to you once I know where in the census to look for James. The best place to look for local histories in the area is The Bookseller, 39 Westgate Circle, Akron, 44313. Phone is 330-865-5831. They have an extensive collection of local histories and should be happy to look for a copy if they don't have one. Any chance your early Sharon Township interests include the Ruckel family? Could SKS please do a lookup for the obit for my gr-grandfather: George W. Lentz b. 1873 Indiana d. abt. 20 Sept., 1945 Spouse: Mabel Allen Lentz I believe he died in Canton, Ohio. I found a very brief reference in the Lima newspaper, but have been unable (thus far) to locate the obit in the Canton Repository. He was a semi well-known Steel Industry inventor and since I found the reference in Lima's paper, I'm hoping there may have been a more extensive listing closer to his home, (Akron or Cleveland area). Thanks in advance for any assistance, Mercedes Farley
