Try contacting Goodrich headquarters and see if they have a public relation's department. My father worked at Goodyear, here in Akron, and I remember looking forward to the Christmas edition of the "Wingfoot Clan", because it always had a beartiful front cover. Several of them were by the artist, Rockwell. My Grandfather came to Akron about 1920 and worked for Miller then Goodrich, but I'm unsure of the time of the buyout. I have a July, 1943 copy of the Akron, Ohio publication of the B. F. Goodrich "Circle".

I was living in Akron at that time but have no memory of meeting anyone from that side of my mother's family. I don't know where he is buried. That side of the family was Catholic but when George changed his name from Pisak to Reiter he also changed religions to try to fit in better so it would not be a Catholic cemetary. I know that is not much help.

If they can provide the name of a funeral home that transfered the body, that would also be a place to look for additional info. Death records from 1868 - Dec. 20, 1908 are in record books at the Summit County Probate Court, 1st floor. Phone 330-643-2330.

She had no children, and most of her siblings were dead by 1896. Beaver Cemetery's online database lists her burial there and death in Akron, OH. Any information appreciated. Her husband and brother are also buried in Beaver Cemetery in the 1880s. Censuses also put the family in Beaver Falls, Beaver Co, PA in 1870 and 1880. Before that they were in or near Lancaster Co, PA. There is an Akron, Pennsylvania, in Lancaster County and I am considering the that database has the wrong state.

His original last name was Pysak but he changed it. Also looking for his wife's obituary but unsure of when she died. Her name was Gertrude.
