I am looking for relatives of William B. and Daisy [Welch] Smith, formerly from Alton Park/Chattanooga, TN. I estimate that they came from Tennessee to Barberton, OH, in the early 1930's. If this sounds familiar to you, please contact me. Thank you, Richard

Yes, I am in the Akron area. I did drive down Quick Rd about two weeks ago and didn't find anything. I think we were mostly looking on the wrong side of the road for it. The directions you got from that "kind man in Boston Twp" helps a lot. I know the area and will try to get down that road again and look for it. Regarding the map at the Akron Library -- I did look it up in the cemetery maps book and it wasn't much help -- the map wasn't very specific on the location. Thanks so much for your kindness. I made some calls and from a nice gentleman who works for Boston Township, I found out that the cemetery is on the right side of Quick road if you are coming off of State Rd. It is past the nursing home, and before you get into the Cuyahoga Valley Park. He said that there are some headstones there. He believes it to be on private property and may be overgrown, but that the neighbors are friendly and will most likely assist in finding the location. Also, I called the Akron Public Library. They are going to send me a map of the cemetery, but all it shows is a diagram, no plots, lots, or names. When I get it, I'll pass it along to you. Let me know your circumstances and I may be able to assist in documenting it.
