I am GUESSING that it is the one I have listed as "Wells School #1". It was probably named McKinley Avenue School because it sat on McKinley Avenue. My first thought was that this might be Wells School located in the S.W. end of downtown Canton. It is (or was) located at an intersection of, I think, 6th Street and, apparently, McKinley Avenue - although there is a Wells Avenue in that area as well. ??? I should remember - I am a native and 35 year resident of Canton ! Age takes its toll. To the best of my knowledge my grandmother grew up in Nimishillen Twp. However, I find her family in Canton, Ward 1 in 1900. My photo was taken in 1897. Their address was 1209 W. Tuscarawas.
