Born in Charleston, WV on July 22, 1931, he was retired having been self employed. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Javins of the home; 11 children, Deborah Mason, James Javins, Christopher Javins, Nora Seifer, Sandy Murray, Bonnie Wilson, Doug Vanest, Jo Blakely, Terry Vanest, Darrell Vanest and Peggy Clendenin; a brother, William Javins; sister, Patsy Linger; 29 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday evening at 7 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Rudy officiating. There will be no calling hours. His wishes were to be cremated.
