There is an every-name index the Society recently did and is on Rootsweb at http://userdb.rootsweb.com/bookindexes/ I did not find "Jay" Whittaker but found a James R. showing on page 37. Also a Gerald Lee Whittaker on page 23. You can email the Stark County District Library's Genealogy Dept for a look-up via the link I sent earlier for requesting a copy of the obituary. I assume you are referring to the Jay Whittaker who died 28 Mar 1933 in Canton. I also use the new LDS website and looked up his death certificate.
