My Criswells moved from somewhere in PA. to Perry Co., OH. I had them mixed up with the ones in Stark Co. because of similar names ie. John, Robert etc.but was able to document mine finally. Here is a quote from my book published 2006, "It was interesting to note that another John Criswell died, circa 1825, Stark County, Ohio. Further research revealed a George Gregory was granted permission, 2 November 1825, to administer John's estate. the 'Alliance [Ohio]Genealogical Society Newsletter' had a copy of a Gregory Criswell's obituary.
