My best guess is around 1903. Alma May Staggs, his first wife, was born in Middletown, Ohio, in 1910. Daniel and Alma married in Covington, Ky in August of 1924. Alma is my grandmother. Daniel left her in June of 1925 when she was 7 months pregnant with my father, Arlie Vaughn, who was born in Middletown, Ohio in August of 1925. I do not think that anyone is Daniel Vaughn's immediate family know that they are related to my father or our family at this time. There is much more to the story.
