I have made a "Family letter" on Genealogy which I send free to Military Rec Centers, Service Clubs, USOs, etc, in hopes to get our heros interested in their Family Histories. I use my self and my wife as examples on what can be done. Until a few months ago, I never knew of a Civil War Rear Admiral in our family, or Royal connects to Henry I of France, Russian Nobles, etc My first letter shows Virginia connects to Pickaway, Ross, Delaware and Union Counties. I will send anyone a copy for 33 cents postage, and 24 cents to print @ Kinkos 2 sides of 11x17" with a photo scan (same as 4 sidesof 8.5x11"). Unused US postage stamps OK. I use a upgraded paper and make a collectable mailing stamped cover.
