I am researching Conroy, Burton, Elliott from Canton and Marion, Ohio. My Frank Conroy was an Irish immigrant who I believe entered the country in 1858 at the age of 13 in Philadelphia. He is said to have worked as a tinsmith and on the railroad. Francis "Frank" Joseph Conroy moved to Canton probably in the 1880's and lived there for 25 years before moving to Marion. He was first married to Alice C. Burton and had two children, William Charles and Catherine. Alice died at a young age and Frank married Susan (?) Anna Elliott. She was said to be the daughter of John Elliott from Rochester, NY. She and Frank had several children: Tom....273 S. Prospect St.. Marion 2 children Joe ... 319 Olney " 3 children Margaret Ellen "Ellie" (Mrs. Fred Hockstetter) children: W.E., William, Ella 593 Olney Ave. Fred, Harold, Roy ...al died in their 50's Annabelle (Mrs. ayne Peak) Waldo, Ohio no children Mary Elizabeth (Mrs. John White 2 children Frank & Anna lived in Marion and Frank died Oct. 23, 1923. Anna continued to live there until her death. I believe Tom worked for Marion Steam Shovel. If anyone is researching any of these lines I'd love to hear from you.
