My gggrandfather was killed in a railway accident In Clyde, Wayne cty. N.Y. on Oct. 13, 1874. He was a track laborer and was driving the hand car and when he pushed down on the handle , it broke, throwing him onto the track where the hand car passed over him, killing him instantly. His name was John Kerrigan (misspelled as Carrigan) in the newspaper account in the Clyde Times issue of 10/15/1874. Is there a linkup somewhere where I can contact the railroad historian of N.Y. or Wayne county. Thanks, Grace
