Herrick Clare, Ohio never took state censuses. There were Quadrennial Enumerations taken every four years of males over 21 who were eligible to vote, but they didn't include the whole families. These Quadrennial Enumerations began in 1803 and ended 1911. Unfortunately, very few have survived. There are none still in existance for Stark County. The book "State Census Records" by Ann S. Lainhart lists those that still exist and where they are located. Hope this helps. Lauren -- Lauren K. Landis Genealogy Divison Mgr. Stark County District Libary Canton, OH
