Hi, I would to thank all of you for the information you have provided me with today. I am looking for information on the Gro(s)jean Family. We beleave they came to New Berlin about 1833 from France, location unknown could have been the Alsace/Lorrain region. We think the parents were: Constantin Gro(s)jean and Josphine Martean ( not sure if that is the correct spelling ). Beleave they had with them at least two sons: Constantin; his dob of birth was 8/27/17 Celestin his dob of birth was 11/05/29 Constantin, became a citizen in 1840 the nationalization form says he was a subject of the King of France. He got married in the St. John's Catholic Church in 1844 to a Dorothea Oriente/Rinder they had 4 children before moving to New Hamburg, Mo. in 1849. Celestin followed shortly, beleave the parents moved with Celestin and then returned later and died in Ohio. Beyond this information we know nothing, not even sure of the correct spelling the name is spelled both ways in France. Any help is welcomed! Kelly
