I am interested in the migration route between Stark County and Wabash County, IN around 1845 - 1850. It is a fairly straight shot, at least as it appears on the map, but I was wondering if there was a particular trail that was used from Stark County, going westward into IN during that time period? I am researching the WINGER and SHAFFER families that left Stark County and ended up in Wabash County, IN by the 1850 census. If I knew the probable route they took, it might help my search for them along the way a little easier. Thanks!
