Mrs. Victoria Monnot, 75, of East Grant St. Alliance, wife of Charles Monnot, died Saturday at midnight in her home after a lingering illness. A native of Louisville, she had lived in Alliance 24 years and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church and the Altar and Rosary societies of the church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. D. C. Redman, and a son, Charles, both of Alliance; two brothers, August Menegay of Louisville, and Joseph Menegay of Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Sister Nativity of New Bedford, Pa., and Mrs. Louise Schillig and Miss Virginia Menegay, both of Louisville, and four grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday in St. Joseph's Catholic church in charge of Rev. Fr. A.J. Manning. Burial in the church cemetery. Taken from the Louisville Herald. Date of death, 23 Feb. 1935.
