I am searching for the parentage of John Rider b 1816, m Sarah Hartzell in Stark County in 1836. Purchased land in Pike Township in 1842. The land he bought was next to land sold by William Rider in 1838. William Rider and wife Hannah Bordner moved to Tuscarawas County, Ohio and are buried in the Shanesville First Reformed Cemetery. John Rider moved to Noble County/Kosciusko County, Indiana about 1865. He lived in Pike Township in 1850 and Canton Township in 1860. I am wondering if he is possibly the son of William Rider b 1772 who moved to Tuscarawas Co., Ohio. Also looking for parentage of Sarah Hartzell who married John Rider.
