You know, I have used the lists to ask for information many times. Once, I asked a FL list if someone could go by and leave a message with my sister to contact me as her phone had not been answered in two weeks....it kept giving me a strange message. As it turned out, the area code had been changed and the phone company did not place a message to inform people. People have done so many things for me....why, I recieved a BOOK in the mail today. And, I , have done many , many favors for people on the lists.....from looking up information at the Historical Society to taking pictures of tombstones to.....well, you get the picture. NEVER have I encountered the behavior I did today on a list. Not once have I seen someone ask for something, get it and then condemn the whole list by saying something Like "You know, I had planned on staying and helping others as I do my research but since the......." I have the feeling that this woman would never help anyone. I feel like she owes this list an apology. Not for asking for help but for displaying her arguement with another member of the list........ We are here to help each other with genealogy or what ever else we can. Life is too short to carry on arguements. I have never seen this type of behavior on our list before and I hope I never do again.
