Dear Listers: In the 1876-77 Canton, Ohio City Directory there is listed on page 26 the John Ball & Co. They were manufacturers of Ball's Patent Wrought and cast iron beam, steel, cast and combination plows. It was located at the corner of South Poplar and Cedar. My second great grandfather, Albert Ball was the superintendent and I believe the company was started by his father John Ball. I am interested in obtaining more information on this company and its founders. If anyone has a source that might provide this information, I would deeply appreciate it. Thank you very much.
