    3. The legal age for females was 18. Males had to be 21. If the girl was not 18 then the father or guardian had to sign their permission on the marriage application/license. I have a copy of a license for a male in my family tree who was just 20 yrs old and his father was dead. He had his guardian sign permission to marry on his marriage license. There was no other form other than the statement on the license.
