    3. Richard, I have the County & Family Histories of Ohio and the Kroft family is mentioned. John Kroft, War of 1812 was in the 3rd Reg., 2nd Brigade Ohio Militia. No mention of his family. A Catherine Kroft m. Charles Martin who was from Lancaster, Pa. Their son Charles b. 20 July 1829 in Lancaster, left home when he was ten, he was living with his widowed mother, to study the rope trade. His mother came to Stark 1831. The first store in Canton Twp. was run by Abraham Kroft in 1807, and in 1808 he had the first tan yard. There were a few other Kroft people named in the index, but no Frederick.
