    3. Dianna - I purchased a book on eBay a few months ago. It is "History of the First Reformed Church of Canton, Ohio." Published about 1920. There is a presentation handwritten in the front - "Hearty Good Wishes from Your Church - Easter 1921." In this book there is reference to Trinity Reformed Church at Market Ave. N. and 6th Street and a photograph of that church - which looks very familiar to me, a native and 35 year resident of Canton. There is reference in the book of a break of the Reformed Church from the Lutheran Church. Also, reference to Trinity Reformed as one of the growing number of Reformed churches in Canton. My guess would be that in 1933, this church was still part of the Reformed Church denomination. One reason I say that is because my memory seems to tell me that Trinity Reformed was still the name of that church on N. Market in the years I was growing up in Canton - 40's and 50's and walked past it many times. In looking into this just a little, as a result of your question, I did find a reference to the Reformed Church/United Church of Christ. However, as I mention above, I feel pretty comfortable in saying that Trinity Reformed was still a member of the Reformed denomination in 1933. Of course, there are many churches which are Reformed in their theology. Presbyterians, for example. However, there was(is?) this denomination which uses the term Reformed in the name of their denomination. Most of the references I have seen in my short research are to The Reformed Church in America. However, there were a couple references to The Reformed Church in the United States (of America). I do not know if these are two names for the same denomination. If there is anything you might like me to look up for you in this book, let me know and I will see if there is any reference to it.
