She was the daughter of John and Maggie (Caylor) Smith. Samantha was married to Theodore Berr May 27, 1875 in Canton, Ohio, by a Rev. Peter Holbrook. The referenced website gives several people related to Samantha: Simon Smith, Mary Smith, Frederick and Maggie Brigle, John C. Smith (blacksmith) whose wife was Lucinda Voy, Kate and John Myers of Massillon and James and Anna J. Waters of Canton. Theodore Berr was my great-grandfather Julius O. Berr's brother.
