Paul and Martha Palmer, son William and wife Cora Elizabeth Smith Strasser and daughter Hattie lived in Sebring in 1902. Granddaughters Laura and Eleanor were born there 1906, 1914. In the Alliance Review, Sebring News I found a notice of their births on Oregon Avenue. No birth record for Laura yet. Would there be any place where Laura's birth record could be found? Eleanor's was sent in by the doctor who delivered her. Her name was written Elinore Ruth Strasser. She used Eleanor. Hattie and Clarence Gladfeter were married in 1907 in Sebring. Is there a marriage or divorce file for them? The marriage is noted in a small book in the library at Alliance where I visited in 1998. Is there a birth record for Genevieve June Strasser born June 2, 1915 in Sebring? This may be in the SebringNews section of the Review, also. She and Cora died in December 1918 in E. St. Louis IL from influenza. They are buried in the old Strasser plot in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville IN. Laura died 10/18/1968 Belleville IL. She and Otis R. Butler, her husband are buried in Mt. Hope, Bellevile IL. Eleanor died 11/16/1999 and is buried in Alliance City Cemetery. Her son Paul, her father William and her first husband Glenn Turner are also buried there. She married Paul E. Burson. He is buried elsewhere. Hope this is not too much to ask. I live in Illinois. Thanks.
