    3. Is there an early history of this township that is published? If so, where can I get a copy. Am interested if the names and families of early settlers, any bios, etc. are in it. Thank you. 3. Hi Carole, There are several histories for Stark County which may be helpful, the most thorough of which is the "Stark County Story" by Heald. This 7-volume set was published from a radio series broadcast in the early 1950s on WHBC here in Canton. There are also histories by Lehman, an educator here in Canton, H.T.O. Blue, and a compilation entitled "Portrait and Biographical Record of Stark County, Ohio". There is also a small book entitled (sic) "Navarre, Story of a Small Town" which extends into neighboring Sugar Creek Twp. Most of the people mentioned do not extend very far into the 1800s and does not discuss original settlers, however. There are also sketches of early settlers of all Stark County townships in the 1876 Stark County Atlas. Anyone can request searches of any or all of these sources from the Genealogy Division of the Stark County District Library by filling out a Request Form at: scdlgen@oplin.lib.oh.us/gene.html Neal Thompson Gardner Genealogical Librarian == The Website your boss doesn't want you to know about ! == www.sixfigureincome.com/?1224802 ----- Original Message ----- From: "carole lubbers" <carolelubbers@email.msn.com> To: <OHSTARK-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: 30 March, 2001 5:48 PM Subject: [OHSTARK] Sugarcreek Twp > Is there an early history of this township that is published?
