Hi everybody. I have a request to make. Lewis Willard was in the War of 1812, Ohio Militia for 3 months. I have two cards showing his regiment and a page out of a book showing the same regiment. The two cards is all the National Archives sent me and I feel there must be a few more forms to look at. What I really need is something showing his age. Does anyone on the list live in the Wash., D. C. area that would be willing to go to the National Archives? I am wondering if there is an enrollment, any kind of muster records that would show his age and place of birth would be a good thing also!! Be happy to pay any costs involved. The age is the one vital thing I need to know if Lewis is the father or brother of my Henry Willard who was one of the first settlers in Tusc. Co. I appreciate any offer or suggestions. The Willard family came to Tusc. Co. 1802 from Somerset Co., Pa., and around 1816 moved to Stark Co. Thank you, Carole Lubbers Marietta, Ga.
Carole, BRAVO, BRAVE, BRAVO.........Way to get things rolling. Hope it pays off. The age is everything. If we know the age our search changes completely. Today I sent an email to the Meyersdale Public Library in Meyersville, Somerset, PA. I am trying to nail down Henry Willard. I asked for any church records, property records and tax reports. Keep your fingers crossed. Ray On Mar 28, 2006, at 4:31 PM, carole lubbers wrote: > Hi everybody. I have a request to make. Lewis Willard was in the > War of 1812, Ohio Militia for 3 months.
