    2. Iain - perhaps I can be of a very little assistance. I lived in the "NE" end of Canton during the 1940's (and 50's) and as a child, then, rode my bicycle with my brother all over that end of town. Had some friends from church who lived on 25th street. That entire area was residential at that time. Very nice, upper middle class houses. The names you give are not familiar to me, however.
