Hi, I would like to PAY FOR A LOOKUP in some old phone directories, or cemetery books or other resources if it could lead to finding some descendants of the following JACKSONS ORAN MEADE JACKSON (May 1898 IL) is on the 1920 census living with a Sherman HORTON family. He is the son-in-law and his wife is SUSAN HORTON Jackson. Oran's occupation was driver for a candy company. I have tried calling a living Sherman Horton III in the area and he is not related as far as he knows, or he is too young to know. Oran's father David Jackson was a Methodist traveling preacher and he was on the 1910 OH Zanesville, Muskingum County census. He was born Nov 1856 in Missouri, probably Grundy County and also lived in Holt County MO (1880 census), Scott County IL (1900 census). He died 26 Aug 1917 in Zanesville, Muskingum County, OH. Oran's mother was Effie Lee (probably MEADE b. sep 1876 born in MO). I found an Effie Jackson in Canton, Stark County OH in 1920, but I'm not positive it is the right one. There is an Effie Jackson sep 1876 to 1972 on the SSDI, but again I'm not sure it is the right one, because her last residence is Monroe, Butler County OH. That is much farther away from STARK,MORGAN,MUSKINGUM Counties. David and Effie had at least two other children: IVA RUE JACKSON (may 1896 IL) and ALFRED W. JACKSON (abt 1907 OH). I would very much like to find any descendants of these people too or where they are buried. I couldn't find Alfred W. Jackson yet for 1920 census Also looking for other siblings of Oran too: Luther Jackson(april 1886 MO) and Clifton Jackson(april 1890 MO) (my great grandfather he may have died in Chicago) and maybe a son named Gabriel. All these were from David's first marriage. I am not so interested in the Hortons, but maybe the descendants could help.
