Maybe it's just me, but I just discovered the Ohio Historical Society has now added 7 years to their online Death Certificate indexes here: http://www.ohiohistory.org/dindex/ Previously, it only went through 1937. Now, it's up to 1944. Enjoy! Mike

Now, it's up to 1944. Don't forget that if you find your people, you can request a copy from the Stark Co library. They have the death records through... um Dee help me, how many years do you have now? Never mind, here is what the lib page says: DEATHS Early Ohio Death Records - 1867-1908 (these are all OH counties-gin) Ohio - 1908-1948 (thought they were higher than that but may be wrong-gin) Stark Co library is cheaper and faster. http://www.starklibrary.org/ click on find it fast select genealogy on the drop down menu don't forget to check out the obituary indexes while you are there (for the Canton paper) might as well get the obit while getting the death certificate :) obits "usually" give more info the Massillon library also has an obituary index http://www.massillonlibrary.org/default4.htm then genealogy then obituary index for the Massillon paper I've found some Tuscarawas and Wayne Co obits on one or the other obit indexes for these papers.
