While searching for the list of names for the Brookfield picture, I came across this: July 29, 1921 Evening Independent, as they used to put in small articles about near communities and Camp Creek was one I put in the book "Small Communities of Western Stark County." CAMP CREEK July 29, 1921 These people are mentioned Atlee Smith. W. J. McCartney, Nellie Snyder, George Boughman, J. W. Hindley, John Hodgson, Edith Shaffer, L. E. Snyder and Wiliam A. Smith. Camp Creek was a coal mining communty on the Topozone.com it is located at the intersection of Pigeon Run Avenue and Poorman Street South of Massillon, Stark County, Ohio. A place named Park Heights just out side of Brewster, Stark, Oh Listed for Oct. 19, 1921 Morgan Jones, A. F. Stemer, Fred Bremcamp, and Tom Price. Forty Corners Sept. 2, 1921 lists Margaret Sumney, Sam Speck, and Alice Heckathorn. Comet was in the vicinity of Caston and Comet Roads in Green Township in Summit County as this was part of Stark County until 1840. Names mention April 10, 1925, Freeman Daily, Thomas Workinger, Nelson Pipous, Jesse Draft, Grover Caston, Mrs. Allen Mathis, Jeremiah Braucher, Irwin Climes and Chloe Silknitter. Donna: Do you know where the canal was located? My g.g.grandfather died in Stark Co. in Jackson Tp. in 1835. I have seen some hints that he might have worked on the canal.
