He enlisted in the Civil War from there. After the war he and his parents Henry Kline and Mary (Rudy) Kline along with his siblings moved to DeKalb Co., IN. It appears that many people moved from Eastern Pennsylvania to Stark Co., OH, area and then to DeKalb Co., IN. Henry Kline's father was Abraham Kline. Mary Rudy Kline's father was William Rudy. Looking for information about the Christian Zentz FAmily who resided in stark county in the mid 1800's. Christians wife was Rachel Bowers whom was born in Maryland. Her parents were Mathsis and Catherine Bowers born in Maryland. Christian and Rachel had several children. Soloman Zentz-He was the Sherrif of Metrone Township in Indiana in 1840, I have sent for information that contain the records of the town meetings. William who was my GGGrandfather who married Margaret Elizabeth Smith, Children: Perry who died and is buried in LaHarpe, Kansas, Wife Sadie beside him Cora May Zentz McCune Schell-My GGrandmother buried in Joplin, MO Harriet married and lived in Williams County Charles W Zentz, lived in Allen County Kansas but have not found burial site Gertrude married Frane or Frame lived in Tyrone Mo. in 1954 Oscar Zentz who lived in Dallas OR in 1954 and died in Mapleton, OR There could be more children but have not found William and Soloman had more sibling but I currently do not have the informati on in front of me. Hi Stark County Researchers. I am searching for information on the family of Christian Bates who migrated to Stark County, Ohio in 1811 with his son-in-law Andrew Hackett from Fayette County, Pa. He is listed in the Stark County History as being among the 1st Settlers of Stark County. His son Andrew and Adam moved on to Seneca County, and I have found descendants of theirs. I have found descendants of Andrew Hackett and Nataliana. But I am trying to find Christians other children and to find where Christian was born at. I had a friend who lives in Stark County go to the Library, but she was unable to find anything, as there is so many Bates,Batts, Betts and Betz. I am hoping if I can find some of his childrens descendants, we can compare our notes and back track to find which Bates is really ours. Christine Bates son Andrew and Hannah Ano Homan is my Line. Hi All, I was going though some old photos and found a newspaper article from 1948 about my great grandfather Robert. A Tisdall. In this article is said he owned on of the first gas stations in Ohio and it was located in Canton, in 1913. Hi Listers, I have some LEGG's who emigrated from the north of England to the US in the 1870-1880s and settled around N. Lawrence OH and Fayette Co PA. They married ANDERSON, ARNOTT, DYLSE, FYNES, HALL, HURRY, LAMB, LIVSEY, LOWREY, MALLARD, SHANKS, SMITH (Mary Ann), WHITEHEAD. Some married there (to BUSHMAN, BURNS, ADAMS ) and then moved to Montana.
