    1. [OHSTARK] John Ball & Company
    2. Robert Ball
    3. Dear Listers: In the 1876-77 Canton, Ohio City Directory there is listed on page 26 the John Ball & Co. They were manufacturers of Ball's Patent Wrought and cast iron beam, steel, cast and combination plows. It was located at the corner of South Poplar and Cedar. My second great grandfather, Albert Ball was the superintendent and I believe the company was started by his father John Ball. I am interested in obtaining more information on this company and its founders. If anyone has a source that might provide this information, I would deeply appreciate it. Thank you very much. Robert Ball

    1. [OHSTARK] WINGER, WENGER, WINGERT, 1830s
    2. Kathy Cardoza
    3. Hello Everyone I am interesting in the WINGER, WENGER, WINGERT, etc. families that lived in Stark county in the 1830s and 1840s, at least. My 3GG was Samuel Wesley Winger, born in OH about 1834. That is all I know of his ancestry. He was in the IL Infantry during the Civil War along with a Joseph Winger who was listed as being born in Stark county, OH about 1837. I am researching the possibility that Samuel and Joseph were brothers, or possibly cousins. That's all I have to go on for now. If anyone has knowledge of this family in Stark county, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks!
