My GGrandmother was reported be Josephine Martean but no documents on this name could then it have been Marthey. Is the orgin of the two name the same or diffferent? She and my GGrandfather Constant(in) Gro(s)jean settled in the Massillion/New Berlin/Canton area about 1832/1834. The Gro(s)jean has been change in America too many different spellings Grogean, Groshong as a few examples.

Supposedly, he died in Stark or Wayne Counties, but I can't find a Christian with that death date.
