Oh Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Oh/Stark/12078 Surname: BACHERT, COOPER, SILK, ALDRICH ------------------------- I am researching the Bachert and Silk families of Canton and would appreciate anyone checking to see if they have any of these people in their family tree: Earnest Bachert (1834-1921) came over from Germany in 1852/3 through NY and direct to Cleveland. A paper manufacturer, he formed the firm of Bachert, Silk & Co in Canton. Also bought a paper mill in Massillon and formed a stock company known as the "Massion Paper co" in 1871. He married Barbara Silk, German native who came to Cleveland when young. They had ten children, I have nine of their names: Ernest A. Bachert (1862-c.1930s); William H. Bachert; John M. Bachert who married Stella A. (d.1893) and Laura E; Fannie Bachert (d.1915) who married Harry Cooper; Helen (d.circa 1928) who married Edgar Sidney Aldrich (d.circa 1928) these two died in an auto accident in Yugoslavia and I would appreciate any help finding their death/burial records. I have an obituary with no date, lots of photos of burial and accident but no places and names. They were buried in Columbus; Kate; Frank; Allen. I descend from Fannie Bachert Cooper>Dorothy Cooper>Jean Mealey>Sharon Rettich
