    1. [OHSTARK] DEBORAH ROCKHILL--STARK COUNTY
    2. Bill Walker
    3. Posted on: Stark Co. Oh Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Oh/Stark/12114 Surname: ROCKHILL, ROCKWELL, COCKBURN ------------------------- My great grandparents, Deborah ROCKHILL, of Ohio, and Robert COCKBURN, of Scotland, were married 1 April 1860 in Stark County. Census records show them living in Alliance Village, Stark County, in 1860-1870-1880. These censuses indicate Deborah (ROCKHILL) COCKBURN was born Abt 1837 in Ohio. My search for her has not gotten beyond that point. However, I did locate a Deborah ROCKHILL, b. 11 June 1814 in Ohio, whose father was David ROCKHILL. But that is no match since the birth date would make her 46 years old at the time of the 1860 census, the year they were married, rather than 23 years old, as shown on the 1860 census page. Will appreciate any help to get me on track. Thank you. Bill Walker.

    1. [OHSTARK] Hoehn,Clauss,Mosser - Stark, Summit
    2. Hi, My gt-grandfather Andrew HOEHN b.1838 in Bavaria, d.1888. I do not know the name of his first wife, who was the mother of my grandfather, Charles L. HOEHN. Andrew's second wife was Elizabeth Weisgerber. They were married in 1867 in Pfalz, Bayern and came to America appr. 1873, lived and died in Massillon, OH. After Andrew's death Elizabeth married Lawrence Muth. Charles L. HOEHN b.1858 in Bavaria, settled in Massillon and worked on the towpath in Canal Fulton. He married Louisa CLAUSS in 1887 (my grandmother). Louisa CLAUSS was born in 1866 in Alsace-Lorraine. Her father was Anthony CLAUSS b.1819 Germany (wife's name unknown). He died in 1910. He lived with Charles and Louisa who moved to Akron, OH approx.1900. Charles L. HOEHN d.1915. I believe Louisa had a brother Anthony from research on the CLAUSS families. She was also related to the MOSSER and HEINRICH families but I cannot make the connection. My father spoke of an aunt Eve, whom I guess was Eva MOSSER. Other names taken from a wire recording made in 1950 in Portland, OR are: WEBSTER, CLAYBERGER and CLAUSS. My gt-gt-grandfather was Andrew CLAUSS ; wife Celia HARTER. No other information. Anyone who is researching these surnames or has knowledge of these families that can help me connect them or fill in some of the "unknowns, I would be very grateful to hear from you. Please contact me directly. Email: jubaro@aol.com. June (in Florida)
