SAMUEL COOPER-LUCINDA HOFMAN are my GG grandparents. I have NO further information on their ancestors just speculations and assumptions. Sam and Lucinda migrated to Springport, Jackson Co. MI where they had their children. There is a Jacob COOPER living next door to them and he was born in PA as Sam states on all of his census. Lucinda's life is a mystery. She was born in OH and her parents in PA as well. I found the information below on the website (Stark Probate website for marriages: http://www.probate.co.stark.oh.us/search/search.html ) and it is also published and I have a copy of the page. BUT ... Since there is a case number .. Would or Could there be ANY further details listed on the Case file? IF so, I think that I must contact the library and have them send me the info, correct? Thanks for any help that you can share. Thank you, Shirley! This is very helpful. You are helping me find several missing Flooms & confirming locations of a couple others. I appreciate your help. Carmen, I don't know anything about distilleries in Stark Cty., but I do know that my gr-grandfathers on both of my maternal lines were bootleggers. In fact, that's how my grandparents met - my grandfather was running moonshine for his father & my grandmother was helping her father with bottling & selling it from the roadside vegetable stand. Neither father approved the match, so when my grandfather was on a run, he picked up my grandmother and they eloped to West Virginia. Good luck with your search! Does anyone on this list have information about distilleries in Stark County around the period 1820? I have found in the estate papers of Robert Armstrong, the following items: 9 bushels wheat 5 bushels rye 6 bushels corn sugar 2 crocks jug whisky (various amounts sold at different times) among other items. On 12 June 1820, the wheat was to go to Folgers Mill. Armstrong wrote his will on 30 October 1820. Was he in the distillery business and selling out? Carmen Finley
