I'm looking for information on a Daniel Vaughn, who was a dairy farmer in Brewster, Ohio in the early to mid 1900's. He had two sons, Vernon, and James. What a lot of people don't know, is that prior to settling down in Brewster, Daniel Vaughn lived in Middletown, Ohio, where he worked in the paper mills. When he was about 22 years old, he went to Covington, Kentucky and married a very young woman named Alma May Staggs. Alma gave birth to Daniel's first son, and named him Arlie Vaughn, on August 18th, 1925, but Daniel left Middletown, never to be seen again, two months before this son was born. Arlie is my father and I have been searching for information regarding his father, Daniel, for many years now. There is much more to the story, but it is only recently that I became aware that he lived in Brewster. For decades we all assumed he joined his father and family in the Phoenix, AZ area. Any information you may have to offer would be extremely appreciated. My father is now 82 years old and I would love to be able to tell him more about his father and his family before he passes on. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you can help me. Toby Vaughn Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. Re: [OHSTARK] Shetler - Stark County, Ohio
    2. I evidently missed the beginning of the Shetler query but I have a brief connection to the Shetlers. Myron Marcus Shetler - b 29 Jun 1903/1904 in Bethlehem Twp., Stark Co., OH - d 02 Sep 1953 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH. Buried in Union Cemetery, Narvarre, Bethlehem Twp., Stark Co., OH although his death certificate states he was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton. Myron was married Luenna A. Wendling on 24 Nov 1924 in Beaver Falls, PA - they divorced. Myron then married Gertrude McLaughlin sometime after April 1930. I believe Myron was married before his marriage to Luenna. His father - Myron Parlee Shetler - b 03 Sep 1875 in Navarre, Bethlehem Twp., Stark Co., OH - d 01 Feb 1938 in Canton, Stark Co., OH. Buried Union Cemetery His mother - Artie E. [maiden name unknown] - d 09 Feb 1959, Canton and buried in Union Cemetery. Myron's death certificate shows his mother as "Blache" Dodds but all censuses show her given name as Artie. Additional children of Myron and Artie: Wilda b ca 1903, Clyde B. b ca 1906, and Harold E. b ca 1908. [I've not followed them.] Myron Parlee Shetler's parents: Elias Shetler - b Sep 1842 in OH - d 25 Nov 1911 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co. OH; buried Union Cemetery. His parents - Jacob Shetler and Catherine Klick (?). Harriet R. Judd - b 17 Apr 1848 in OH - d 04 Mar 1913 in Bethlehem Twp., Stark Co., OH; buried Union Cemetery. Her parents - William Judd and Harriet Ratlin (?) Hope this helps. Shirley **************It's Tax Time! Get tips, forms, and advice on AOL Money & Finance. 1. [OHSTARK] REGAN. SWEENEY, BEHAN Cleveland to Alliance 1870 to 1934
    2. Cynthia Mac Suibhne
    3. I'll give this another shot before writing to St. Joseph's Church in Alliance, I'm researching Winifred REGAN nee SWEENEY and Thomas BEHAN both were long time residents of Alliance and lived on Union Ave. I know that Winney is a family connection to Miles SWEENEY of Cleveland. Can anyone tell me if they've gotten help from St. Joseph's Church in Alliance. I'm going to request baptismal records and I'm curious to know if they are easy to work with. I had a great uncle named Aubrey Signa Castello, his parents were W.M. Castello (initials unknown) and Nellie Amelia Gilbert/Castello, according to my grandfather's birth certificate she was from Tippicanoe Ohio.I have no other info on him except that he had 4 brothers, and his mother died in 1902 6 months after my grandfather was born. I would appreciate any info from your 1932 birth certificate. I know the spelling of the last name is somewhat different but back then that happened quite often. Is it Stark Colorado or Stark County??? Hope to hear from you THANKS Scott Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. Daniel Vincent
    3. Dorothy, I am researching the Shetler line as a favor to a good friend of mine, Mark Peterson. John Shetler is also Mark's 3rd great father. I don't know how accurate the data Mark and I have for John's children, we show 13 children. Is that correct? Would it be ok, if I e-mail you a family group sheet on what I have for that family? Thanks, Dan
