Don - Sorry to be so late in responding. I have a Louisa Anna W. Vandervier b. 1853 who married George William Eisenhut on January 5, 1871. I believe they lived near Kettlersville. George Eisenhut was a brother to my great-grandmother. She lived about two miles north of Shinbone, which is in the eastern part of Washington Twp. in Auglaize County - about four miles directly east of New Knoxville. Shinbone is really just a community, and perhaps some folks consider it to include some of the northern fringe of Shelby County. Unfortunately, I have no further information about the siblings or parents of Louisa Anna W. Vandervier, but there could be a connection. She and George had seven known children, and are buried in the German Protestant Cemetery, German Twp., Auglaize Co., OH (near New Bremen). Two of their children married Schaefers. Hope this helps - let me know if you are interested in more details.
