I did not find a Frank Schaffer listed in my Memorial Records for that time period. There was one listed as Franklin Kenneth Schaffer b 5-11-1924 d 12-27-1951. I also went to the Health Dept on the off chance that he died in Shelby County but was buried elsewhere. They have no Frank Schaffer in that time period dying in an accident. However the Frank Schaffer(s) which we did find died of natural causes in the 1930's. The lady looked under the names Schaffer, Schafer, Shafer, and Shaffer. There is the possibility that if the accident occurred in Anna that the victim, if still alive, may have been transported either to Dayton (Montgomery Co.) or Lima (Allen Co.) where there was more advanced hospital services. I cannot look up anything in the newspaper microfilm unless I have a more concrete date.
