Surnames: HUNTER - ISABELLE OR JOHN DAVID Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/CYB.2ACE/360.1 Message Board Post: In your search for Hunters, did you come across an Isabelle? I have two - one was John David Hunter's mother (at least I think she was) and the other was John' s first daughter, who was born in Nebraska. Some of the names you have are the same ones that I found in the 1860 census with John David Hunter. Mary and Francis are unique as John had twin daughters - Mary Frances and Frances Mary - Mary was my grandmother. John married Clara Howard in 1869 and moved to Grand Island, Neb. He was killed in 1876 in the Black Hills while hunting for gold. John and Clara also had one son - Lee - who died about a year after he was born. Don't know if my John is the same one you have listed. In the 1850 census and 1860 census, I found Isabelle with Catherine and John and I think another child. Then in the 1860 census, I found Mary and Frances listed, but I never found a husband's/father's name.
