I have a copy of an old newspaper article that talks about the Davis-Ralston family reunion held at Lakewood Beach. I believe the article may have been from the Sidney daily paper since most of the people listed appear to be from the Sidney area. I obtained the article from someone else and have not had an opportunity to verify where it came from or the date (somewhere between 1937 and 1943 based on some of the information about people I know in this article) Has anyone ever head of Lakewood Beach? A sumptious dinner was enjoyed by all, after which the meeting was called to order by Marion Davis. After the minutes were read, the following resolutions were adopted: Resolved that the annual meetings be held the 3rd Sunday of August; also, that in case a member passes, flowers be sent. Election of officers was as follows: Florence Ralston, president; Etta Rich, vice president, and Homer Hancock, secretary and treasurer. After the meeting’s adjournment, pictures were taken, and then swimming and horseshoes were enjoyed. The horseshoe contest was won by Wm. Nesbitt, of Wapakoneta. Last year’s contest was won by Freeman Rich. **********************************

Two of the names listed are ones I have run across researching my family lines. I am referring to Etta Rich and Freeman Rich. I have made a copy of your post (thank you very much for taking the time to type it online) and would ask that you contact me at my email address if you find anything further on the RICH surname in your family research. Please post any responses you get about a possible date or location (I do not live in Ohio). Hmmmm, also, I possibly have a connection through the Davis line. My mother gave me her old pictures and there are a lot of Davis folks in there that she said were cousins of hers. I just haven't figured out where they connected with the RICH family.
