There are two boooks that are the "History of Shelby Co., OH". 1. "History of Shelby County, Ohio", R. Sutton & Co., Philadelphia, PA 1883. This was reprinted in 1968 by Hammer Graphics, Inc. Piqua, OH. This book does have an index, but I have found names that are not listed. I know of no other reprints. 2. "History of Shelby County, Ohio and Representative Citizens", by A.B.C. Hitchcock, Sidney OH, 1913, published by Richmond-Arnold Publishing Co., Chicago, IL. A reprint of this is available throught Higginson Books. This has no index, and it is a bear to find anything, as the Table of Contents lists only the major biographies. All of the other persons that relate to these major people are only to be found by reading the entire volume! Hope this helps.................. Bruce G.
