I do have some info for you. Benjamin Maxwell was the son of Edley and Jennie May (Hussey) Maxwell. Jennie was your Allen's sister. She was born 22 Jan 1872 in Salem Twp., Shelby Co., Ohio, died 27 Nov 1907 in Jackson Center, Jackson Twp., Shelby Co., Ohio, and is buried in Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson, Salem Twp., Shelby Co., Ohio. She died 5 days after the birth of her son Robert E. Maxwell. He died the same day he was born. (Edley then married Gournia E. Darnell - my grandpa's half-sister - and they will have a son named Benjamin, too.) And here's your grandpa - with his 8 yr. old (half) uncle Ed - on the 1880 Jackson Twp., Shelby Co., Ohio Fed Census; dated 11 June 1880; pg 130C: 1 Wm. Hussey, your Allen's dad, is enumerated in his brother-in-law James Stephenson's household on the 1880 Salem Twp., Shelby Co., Ohio Fed. Census (pg 210B) along with another sister of Allen's - Luetta Amoret (age 6). (Do you already know that your Allen's mother Mary died - from what I understand - in July 1879 in Salem Twp. and is buried in Glen Cemetery, too?) It's the Stephensons that lived near Jackson Center. The Husseys seem to reside in Salem Twp. - just south of Jackson Twp. (As per the 1880 Salem Twp. Fed. Census, James's mother Anna is still alive and still living there, too. Do you have James Hussey's parents? Or William Stephenson's first wife/Mary's mother's name?
