Benjamin married in Fairfield Co., OH, Anna Swanders, also a native of PA and d/o Frederick Swanders. 6 children were born to Benjamin and Anna: Daniel, Reuben, Mrs. Mary Ware, Darius, Lucas F., and Joab. Anna died in 1840 and Benjamin remarried to Mrs. Sarah (Woodring) Slusser, another native of PA. Sarah died in 1879 and Benjamin remained on the old homestead until he died, June 1887. Well that clears that up pretty well. Explains the middle name of FREDERICK for Lucas also since that was his grandfather's name. Thanks a WHOLE bunch. Take care. Marilyn Here are census records for Lucas. Just delete if not needed. His wife, Margaret Elliott died about 1869 according to her tombstone in the Elliott cemetery. The date of death was faded but she was age 31-10-21 so calculated about 1869 1860 Jackson Twp., Shelby County.
